Ladies 4s came out fighting hard and finished 1-0 up against Chilterns away.

The tension at Halton was like a scene out of a Liam Neeson film.  From Rebecca’s pre-match nausea, Nat meaning business with her top-to-toe branded new club kit, the militant warm up led by Brigadier Babs and both teams being ready to push back well before the initial whistle.

With temperatures feeling considerably more crisp than previous weeks, and despite a few near misses on the commute to Hertford’s home ground, BHHHC ladies 1st XI were in for a proper game of winters hockey against a youthful Hertford 1s.

The Ladies 2s game fell on the Halloween weekend and it felt as if the ghosts of those who had gone before us were lingering, watching what would turn out to be a darned good game of stick n ball – sorry, hockey. 

Ladies 4s were playing St Albans at Oaklands College on an extremely cold afternoon; although we lost 4-0 the score line was not reflective of the game, with everyone playing well as a team with some excellent passing and running.
