Berkhamsted Thirds met league leaders Potters Bar on a very cold day at Tring School. Potters Bar started slowly and gave away possession from which Tim Buckley found Nick Cave at the top of the circle, he won a tackle and then found Brian de Mattos who opened the scoring in the first minute. |

Berkhamsted Thirds met a very young Winchmore Hill side in North London. Winchmore Hill started enthusiastically and had the majority of the early position but Jon Peplow marshalled the defence well and their chances were limited. |

Berkhamsted 3rd XI 1 Farnham Common Wrinklies 2
Berkhamsted Thirds opened 2009 with a friendly against old foes, the Wrinklies. The cold weather made the pitch hard but it was playable and Wrinklies made the better start to the match. |

Berkhamsted finished the first half of the season with a friendly match at Bicester. The game was very open with short corners and chances at both ends but Bicester took the lead towards the end of the first half from a short corner. |
