In a close and enjoyable game Berkhamsted 3rd XI's season finished rather disappointingly when they were unable to convert a good number of chances into goals.
A good performance from the Aylesbury goalkeeper stopping the better efforts and when he was finally beaten in the last minute a defender cleared off the line. Aylesbury had established a two goal lead by half time mainly due to indecisive defending by Berkhamsted and although Berkhamsted had much the better of the second half, those goals proved decisive. A bright spot for Berkhamsted was the performance of the twins Ben and Oliver Rogers who at 15 have progressed very well in their first season in hockey and both had fine games in this match. |
