Berko 1’s Vs Vauxhall 1’s

With a much changed first team, we turned up to Vauxhall with only a win in mind.

The game started poorly with some scrappy play from either side.

Against the run of play Berkhamsted managed to get a short corner, which won converted by Giles Graham. After the goal it became disjointed and Berkhamsted struggled to find rhythm in their passing and movement.

Shortly before half time Berkhamsted were down to 10, due to Tom Vila being shown Yellow for aggressive behaviour (the card was a bit harsh). Vauxhall started to really push forward and their was some excellent last ditch defending from Stanwell, Moorhouse and eventual Man of the Match Adam Smith. Also some great saves and positioning from Keeper Jay Cremin (5 cleansheets in a row and 350 mins without conceeding!).

Berkhamsted struggled through to the very end and claimed a gritty well fought 1 nil win.
