Berko 2 - 3 Winchmore Hill and Enfield

 

Berko started very slowly and with some poor marking and chasing back, quickly went one down.  Throughout the rest of the first half Berko were second to the ball and were made to pay with the oppo going in at the break 3 nil up.  

However at the half time break a reshuffle at the back helped fix the leak in the middle and Berko started to play with the grace and fluidity of matches past.

When Jason Silver found the oppositions foot in their 'D', Berko were awarded a penalty corner which was converted by Pete Allam.

With Berko in full attack mode another short was awarded shortly after, and with a shot deflected by Nigel Edwards, was saved on the line by WH+E defenders feet a penalty flick was awarded.  However a poor flick by Allam led to the inevitable save, but rather than dropping our heads Berko continued to push for another.  Which wasn't long in coming when the ball from a scrappy short corner fell to Dave English who swiftly pushed into the far corner for 3-2.

Berko pushed the oppo all the way for the equaliser but couldn't break them down in time.

A great team performance in the second half and Man of the Match was awarded to Tom Villa.
