AGM Recruitment Pathway - Exciting opportunities await!

Running BHHHC takes a big effort from a very wide range of members across all sorts of roles, we currently have 72 live roles within the club!

Making sure we have that help and support in all areas of the club’s operation is critical to our ongoing success. This year, following feedback from the 2023 Members’ Survey, we are taking additional steps to help members be clear on what the club roles are and what they involve. We hope these increased efforts and openness will encourage the number and diversity of members volunteering for roles to support BHHHC. This is our AGM recruitment pathway!

A key aspect of our recruitment pathway is the forming of ‘task specific working groups’. These groups aim to give alternative opportunities for members, who may have insufficient time for a full committee role, to volunteer for specific tasks where they have relevant skills and/or have a particular interest in helping complete the task.
We have already set some of these up, but we have all sorts of roles and opportunities, if you are eager to make a difference, gain some new experiences, and be part of our vibrant hockey community, look no further, we have roles of all shapes and sizes!
Expressions of Interest are now open…

All roles at the club are open to expressions of interest. It’s simple, let us know if you want to be involved, make your expression of interest.

It could be for a role on the Executive, it could be for Trading or the Hockey Committee and of course we are not forgetting all the input into the playing side, skippers, umpires, etc. You may have a skill or experience that could help the club, you may just think you just want to help in some way but are not sure how, get in touch, first step is to contact either the Chairman, Paul Dubenski or Club Secretary Nick Cave.

We have produced a list of all the current BHHHC Officer / Working Group roles together with a brief role summary can be found here. This is a democratic process so we have shown the current post holders are shown and of course we need their continued support, but we also need some new faces and perspectives so at this stage of the process all roles are open, we will over the next couple of weeks update as volunteers come forward.

For key positions such as the Executive we also have more detailed job descriptions which are available here. We can also connect you with current and past post holders so you can get an idea of the commitment and a feel for how the role works over the season/year.

This all comes together at the AGM on… Saturday 29th June 2024 at 4.30pm for the moment though we are only part way through our recruitment pathway detailed below, we are seeing who is interested, we know that together, we can create lasting change and inspire others to join us on this incredible journey of developing the sport of hockey and our club.
