On Sunday 2 March, ‘Team Ed’ will be running the Berkhamsted Half Marathon in loving memory of Ed Holderness, who we tragically lost on Tuesday 7th January 2025.
Ed’s kindness, warmth and beaming smile touched so many people. He loved being with friends and family and especially ‘Uncle Eddie’ to Tobi his nephew – the reason why he chose to run his first half marathon to fundraise for Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital Charity.
Ed had asked a few of his Berko Hockey Club friends to join him and in his memory a team of over 25 runners made up of family, friends and hockey players have now registered to run the half-marathon.
If you would like to support and cheer on Team Ed in person, the event starts at Berkhamsted Cricket Club (HP4 1HE) at 10am.
Runners and supporters are welcome to come to Berkhamsted and Hemel Hempstead Hockey Club after the event at Lockhart Field, Cow Roast, Berkhamsted HP23 5RF (track immediately next to the Artisan public house). The bar will be open from midday and there will also be a BBQ.
