Let there be lights

..just not actually light.

I can’t see a thing
- Everybody during the hours of darkness

The latest rumour (I’m relying on outsourced reporting sources at the mo) is that the lights have finally arrived at the TigerTurf. This major milestone in the development of our new pitch is only slightly soured by the fact that the electricity has not yet been introduced to the lights, despite being rumoured to be lurking in the pitch side cabinet. While we await this momentous occasion, which is the point at which I am likely to declare the construction phase complete, the lights are being installed 15m above the pitch. I find this slightly disappointing as the anonymous source has supplied photos of what might be the most beautiful floodlights I have ever seen but when they are strung up on the poles the details are lost. I simply cannot wait to see them in action.

In other news, photos of the floodlights (in the album) also reveal that the four refurbished goals are now inside the cage, ready for youthful across the pitch games. I am hopeful that some not a circle shooting circles will also appear to aid the gameplay and umpiring but this appears to be a matter of some debate. Pros and cons are being measured. Said photos have indicated a continued absence of wheels on the two new goals. An ancient and long forgotten rumour source told me that the wheels were in the photo on the website but, confusingly, not in the box that turned up. The dreaded phrase “optional extra” was muttered. Anyroad, I may now decide to consider the construction phase complete when the wheels on the goals go round and round, round and round, round and round.
