2nd vs 3rd. A huge 6 pointer.

Every game is now must win if we want to get promotion this season and this game was no different. We started strong with balls being pinged in and out of defence and midfield. Gaps started opening up and with Ed controlling the game from the back we worked the ball up towards the opposition D. A nicely placed ball split the defence and Tom M gets a fantastic little flick on to send it past the keeper. 1-0.

With the oppo pushing for an equaliser we end up breaking on the counter attack. A solo run from, once again Tom M, saw him dribble and juggle the ball past 3 of their defenders into the D and send the ball into the top left where Pete finished it off with a volley from 1 yard out. Making it assist of the season.

Second half rolls around and Amersham start strong trying to get back into the game. It takes them a while but eventually break us down and get 1 back. But some outstanding game management saw Berko see the game out for a solid 2-1. Another step towards promotion.

MOM was again Ed Holderness, with an outstanding defensive performance, closely push by Tom Moorhouse for the attacking threat he brought to the game.

Although not playing (reason enough) DOD was again Ben Peat, since no tie was in evidence. If Keiran can turn up with 15 minutes before push back and still not get the award Ben looks like he has a record that is going to be hard to beat this season.
