Is it going to be sunny or raining? That was the big question before pushback – and with no handy tips from our resident weather expert Daisy this week, we had to take our chances, especially with Shrina’s predictions!

Fuelled by Mel’s legendary brownies, Sian’s freshly baked bread, and some pre-match tunes courtesy of Becca, we hit the pitch on a mission.

The sugar rush certainly helped us start strong, and after burning off the brownies, we really found our rhythm. Some of the team hadn’t played together before, but it didn’t take long before the passing clicked and we started to look like total pros.

It wasn’t long before the goals started coming — Jenny, Bethan, and Daisy all hitting the target with style to secure a fantastic 3–1 win and a well-deserved place in the next round of the cup.

After the final whistle, Jimmy’s delicious cake gave us the post-match sugar boost we needed to celebrate properly.

Player of the Match (POM): Daisy – for her brilliant goal and all-round energy, passing and strength.

Donkey of the Day (DOD): Faye – for managing to injure her middle finger before the game, accessing the clubhouse.
