Berko pulled up to Letchworth’s pitch knowing it was gonna be a long day for them. They’re sitting second in the league and probably thought they were gonna pattern us easy… but Berko said allow that.

From the first whistle the backline of Emma, Ellie, Allen and Nic were moving solid. Just locking off everything Letchworth tried. Every time they thought they were through, the defence just said nah and sent it straight back the other way.

Midfield was doing bare running as well. Ella, Maisy, Bea and Sophie were grafting the whole game, chasing everything down and keeping the ball moving. Proper engine room settings.

Up top Bethan, Issy and Eva were causing stress for their defence from early. It didn’t take long before Issy stepped up and buried the first one. Calm finish, Berko 1–0 and Letchworth were already looking stressed.

Second half Berko came out still on smoke. Eva was playing in a new position and she was absolutely cooking. She gets the chance, slots it away and makes it 2–0. Scenes on the sideline.

Game got a bit mad though. Eva even caught a stick to the head at one point. No complaints, just vibes.

Then Letchworth managed to get one back but it was a bit peak… Emma accidentally knocked it in with her foot for an own goal. Unlucky still, but even with that the defence stayed solid and Berko kept it patterned till the final whistle.

Final whistle: Berko 2 – 1 Letchworth. Big result.

Man of the Match: Eva — switched position, scored, caught a stick to the head. Different levels.
Silent Hero: Emma — unlucky with the own goal but still held it down at the back all game.
Dick of the Day: Ella — had to hold that green card still ?

Big win against second in the league. Berko pulled up and showed them we’re not the ones to mess with.
