U14G travelled to WGC for a 7aside 4 game tournament. We knew it was going to be tough as we had no keeper! The first game against hosts WGC ended in a 1 each draw, we played much better but the opposition having the advantage of a goal keeper kept the score line to 1 goal for Berkhamsted.

Our second game against Hertford the girls had warmed up and got a 3 -2 win. The last 2 games against Broxbourne and St albans we lost 2 – 1 and 1-0 but we were the better side on both games, the oppositions having a goal keeper paid off.

Address is the sand astro, DeHav Campus, Uni of Herts, AL10 9EU. Please use the car park (no ticket or charge at weekends) not the road where the bus stops are - you will get a ticket!
Warm up 9:45am - 10am, games from 10am and finished between 12- 12:30pm, depending on your team.

Unfortunately, there are no refreshments at the pitch, but there is a cafe in Herts Sports Village (where the pool is). Changing rooms and toilets will be open, on the way to the pitch.

Each team will play x4 13 minute games (one way), within a 15 minute window, so there’s a 2 minute changeover- no team has back-to-back games so this should mean the next teams are ready to come onto the pitch promptly! Games will be timed centrally and a hooter sounded to signal the start and end of a game.

7v7 on half pitch
Short Corners if you have masks and a gk (and are willing!), otherwise a free hit outside the D
WGC will try to provide some umpires, but please be prepared to umpire your own games if needed.

DeHav are very hot on spectators not standing behind the goal of pitch 1 (in case of high balls/injuries) so please ask your parents not to- I will remind at the beginning!
